The scorching sun of the Radian Rift was still fresh in their minds, but the mission demanded immediate action. Having barely escaped the alien traps laid deep within the canyon floor, our heroes knew the mystery was far from solved—and the trail was leading them North.
Tracing a scrambled signal derived from the artifacts they liberated, they flew across the continent under the cloak of night. As the rugged, sun-baked cliffs finally gave way to the deep, emerald forests of the Northeast, they touched down quietly under the cover of dusk. Seeking a sanctuary to regroup, they found the Adirondack Pines Lodge. It was the perfect hideout: a place for warm fires, hearty meals, and the chance to study their findings without prying alien eyes. The hunt wasn't over, but for a brief moment, the only heat they had to worry about was the crackle of the lodge fireplace.

So, the question is... who?
Every project has a beginning.
Some begin with an idea.
Others begin with a single image.
This one began with both.
Like many creative works, the final illustration did not appear all at once. It was crafted one thoughtful decision at a time, as light, color, and composition gradually found their balance. Some ideas remained, while others quietly stepped aside, each refinement bringing the illustration a little closer to the feeling it was meant to convey.
Looking back, the creative process became part of the finished work itself. What first appeared to be a single illustration gradually revealed itself as part of a larger creative journey.
Earlier projects quietly helped shape what followed. Hebrews established a foundation. Imagination opened the door to new possibilities. Without announcing themselves, those earlier chapters naturally found their place in Romeo 2026, not by repeating the past, but by allowing familiar ideas to grow in new ways.
The goal was never to explain every detail. Instead, the illustrations and the narrative were crafted to complement one another. Sometimes an image carries the moment. Sometimes a few carefully chosen words provide the final touch. Together, they invite the reader to slow down, look a little closer, and enjoy the journey at their own pace.
Every project stands on its own, yet each quietly shares something with the next. The connections are there for those who notice them, but the experience belongs to every reader, whether visiting for the first time or returning once again.
