🌌 Perseverance Rover — Cosmic Romance Sonnet No. 4

By Scott L.

We walk the path of echoes from the past,

Where Viking touched the dust in silent grace;

Where Spirit’s wheels and Opportunity cast

Their patient lines across that ancient place.

Old Curiosity still climbs the hills,

And reads the rocks for secrets time concealed;

Its patient track across the dust instills

The sense of mysteries not yet revealed.

But now Perseverance listens still

In Jezero’s broad valley, wide and bare;

It gathers breath from wind and rock and hill

And asks if life once dreamed its silence there.

Beyond Earth’s blue, beneath that crimson sky,

They vowed that love would follow where they fly.

Born Blessed in South Korea in 1969 and raised in Baltimore, I’ve built a career with 20 years in customer service and 10 years in behavioral health. The crowning jewel of my studies came when I earned the only passing grade of an A from a Harvard professor — a true master of the craft of Shakespeare

And the English language, whose guidance opened the gateway to worlds of imagination, discipline, and wonder.

Married for 25 years, I share the good life with two dogs (Isabella and Juliet) and one cat named Maddie. In my free time, I enjoy writing, biking, gospel music, and spending time with my pastor and friends.
