REMORSE IN VAIN ~ A Poem by Thomas McKean
REMORSE IN VAIN
by Thomas McKean
Mountains cold and tall,
climbing to the new sky,
shrouded in gray,
ice at its peaks.
Rows of chairs,
thoughtless anger,
none to be found,
forever unbound.
No guilt or shame,
with remorse in vain,
calm and serene,
nothing detained.
Bright it shines,
sun adorned,
cloudless sky,
prickled in thorns.
