King’s Council
Camelot.
Camelot, and in golden age of rule,
Where Arthur held a just and noble throne,
A Table stood, no rank to overrule,
But equal vows each knight would call his own.
There Lancelot, the finest of them all,
Was Arthur’s strength, his honor brought to life;
No blade more true at duty’s steadfast call,
Yet loved the Queen, and broke the sacred tie.
He knew the line. He saw what it would cost.
Still chose the flame no vow could reconcile.
And in that choice, though nothing yet seemed lost,
The fall of Camelot began in trial.
