Party in The Green Meadow

Jane’s turtles afloat on a log,

barking in the sun, they point as fast as they can from the pond and tell

of a fourth sheep up yonder,

sipping wild cherry Kool-Aid snoballs

with the boys beneath the bright sky—

singing, clapping, praising the Lord,

happy and having a great time.

The flock gathers ’round in gladness,

their voices rising high;

for even sheep know the Shepherd’s joy

and the sweet songs of freedom’s lullabies.

Lil Bo pops his head and declares,

“Over here, over there,

God’s love flows everywhere—

sweet and abundant! 🎵

Hallelujah, joy to share!” 🎶

The meadow swags along with them,

grass and flowers nodding to the song;

butterflies drift lazily by,

and the breeze hums softly in reply,

while the sun shines down, smiling on all who are having fun with the Lord in the Green Meadow.

Scott L.

Born Blessed in South Korea in 1969 and raised in Baltimore, I’ve built a career with 20 years in customer service and 10 years in behavioral health. The crowning jewel of my studies came when I earned the only passing grade of an A from a Harvard professor — a true master of the craft of Shakespeare

And the English language, whose guidance opened the gateway to worlds of imagination, discipline, and wonder.

Married for 25 years, I share the good life with two dogs (Isabella and Juliet) and one cat named Maddie. In my free time, I enjoy writing, biking, gospel music, and spending time with my pastor and friends.
