A Whisper of Snow” ❄️

The night hung quiet, velvet-dark, stars twinkling like scattered gems.

A single blue snowflake drifted lazily from the sky,

catching the moonlight as if it were carrying a secret.

It hovered, twirled, and shimmered —

then dissolved before it touched the earth.

Merlin, unseen, chuckled softly,

his cloak brushing the edge of the heavens.

“Patience,” he whispered to the wind,

“for joy comes in its own time.”

And somewhere far below,

the tavern roared, the roses gleamed,

and the first raindrops of mirth began their descent,

sprinkling laughter and legend across the land.

Purpose: Introduces surreal magic, teases seasonal motifs, sets up the raindrops of mirth for Jeff’s story.
