🍁 Autumn Morning Prayer

Short Version (For those on the go)

Let the world know…

it’s autumn,

and time for harvest.

Blind spots galore…

especially in the morning.

They don’t fade—

they’re constant.

A gentle wind whispers

in the stillness of autumn,

carrying the sweetness of God’s Word,

sweeter than honey to the soul (Psalm 119:103).

So I breathe…

say my prayer…

and let the coffee do its part—

’cause grace still works

where the blind spots are constant.

Let go of the world’s daily stresses…

distractions…

and crises, great or small.

Nothing wrong with seeking a higher power—

the one and true God,

who befriended us,

who gave up His riches in all their forms,

to tell us He is our friend…

and to show the world who He truly is:

the Son of God… the Morning Star.

Full Version (For those who wish to linger — we know it’s hard not to)

And a question arises:

What can we do?

Go to God in prayer,

in this autumn morning—

like bees tending their hives,

God’s wisdom and love are at work around us,

quietly sustaining, nurturing, and guiding.

Look out for one another…

help one another…

encourage one another…

love one another…

bring hope, peace, and order

in a distractful world,

with distractions galore.

Let go of the world’s daily stresses…

distractions…

and crises, great or small.

Remember the locusts of Scripture,

a warning many hear but few understand—

let your heart pay attention.

Nothing wrong with seeking a higher power—

the one and true God,

who befriended us,

who gave up His riches in all their forms,

to tell us He is our friend…

and to show the world who He truly is:

the Son of God… the Morning Star.
