THE GREAT BEEF BALL INCIDENT 🐄

It started innocently.

I spotted an adorable white dog named Buddy on Threads. He reminded me of a dog I once loved, so I messaged his owner:

“Nice meeting you. Love the dog! What’s his/her name?”

Instead of an answer, Instagram translated a lengthy welcome message that included one unexpected announcement:

“I sell... beef balls.”

That was unfortunate.

I own a Chihuahua. Their profile has a dog. I had just sent them my Chihuahua.

And now we had beef balls.

Not meatballs.

BEEF BALLS.

From there, things deteriorated rapidly.

Soon there were caramelized beef balls, take-home packages, Temu Supermart, Aisle 5, warnings against human consumption—and finally:

THE WORLDWIDE COUNCIL OF BEEF BALL BROKERS & DISTRIBUTORS — ASSOCIATION FOR GLOBAL BEEF BALL DOMINATION 🐄

And it all began with one innocent dog on @Threads.

Poor Buddy.

He never asked for any of this. 🐕😂
