THE FROG PRINCE

The Minotaur mythology was in production.

And, of course, like any production team, we needed to eat.

Somewhere between gods, bulls, queens, wooden cows and the construction of a Labyrinth, the creator of this content came across a YouTube video showing what appeared to be the making of jerky.

Exactly where the video had been filmed wasn't clear.

If he had to guess, he would have said Vietnam.

Then came the frog jerky.

And it looked good.

Really good.

Once you see frog jerky and you're already hungry and cranky, apparently caution gets thrown to the wind.

β€œWhat did I just say?”

The production chief no longer remembered, because caution had been thrown to the wind.

So off they went.

The mission was simple.

Find frog jerky.

What could possibly go wrong?

Somewhere along the way, however, hunger collided with imagination.

The frog stopped being food.

He became a character.

Then somebody put a crown on his head.

And just like that, a search for frog jerky had wandered into a fairy tale.

The Frog Prince had arrived.

Except this wasn't exactly the Frog Prince generations had known before.

This one had somewhere to go.

And apparently, he was in a hurry.

He jumped.

What began as a break from the Minotaur production had suddenly become a production of its own.

There may be a lesson somewhere in all of this.

Then again, caution is still blowing around somewhere in the wind, so perhaps we shouldn't look too hard for one.

Sometimes a frog is food.

Sometimes a frog is a prince.

And sometimes you go looking for frog jerky and come home with a story.
