Where I Belong

I thought I was loved when I was young,

But I've come to find out I was wrong.

No heart-to-heart and no songs were sung,

Then Jesus came and now I belong.

God's Creation

Songbirds in air chirp sweetly in our ear.

Dragonflies by water dance in sunlight.

God's love for His creation very clear.

He fills hearts with gladness, no strife, no fight.

And stars shine bright in our vision of sight.

Florida pointed east with pride,

Certain Africa was by its side.

Maine checked the curve of God's blue sphere,

And quietly said, "A little closer from here."

Married for 25 years, I share the good life with two dogs (Isabella and Juliet) and one cat named Maddie. In my free time, I enjoy writing, biking, gospel music, and spending time with my pastor and friends.
