The Greatest Gift of All Time
A Biblical Chronopoetic Sonnet
by Scott L.
At six to four B.C., a child was born,
From thirty unto thirty-three, His way;
At nine A.M. it broke — a blessed morn’ —
And grace in twenty-five renews this day.
The ancient Word foretold His rising flame,
Whose steps through dust brought healing to the meek;
He called the lost and weary each by name,
And lifted up the humble and the weak.
The heavens broke with mercy’s shining light,
And starlight crowned the dawn with sacred worth;
His truth stood radiant through the darkest night,
And poured His grace like rain upon the earth.
In twenty twenty-five, His grace still lives;
He folds all time within the love He gives. ❤️
